Dell N3000 series, should work on all Dell switches except the X series.  The interface is different in the X series switches.   It's assumed VLAN 16 (AP vlan) and 17 (client devices vlan) are already on the trunk to the switch, on the edge switch trunk port(s)  

  • Log into the gui
  • Expand Switching
  • Expand VLAN
  • Click Port Settings
  • Select the port that will have the AP connected
  • Change the Port VLAN mode to General
  • Set the PVID to 16 (primary VLAN for APs 10.2.2.0/24)
  • Apply
  • Click VLAN membership
  • Drop down the Show VLAN and choose 16
  • Put a U (this is untagged) on each port that an AP is connected to
  • Apply
  • Drop down the Show VLAN and choose 17
  • Put a T (this is tagged) on each port that an AP is connected to
  • Apply
  • Repeat the last 2 steps on other vlans for other IP ranges
  • Apply and Save, SSH to the switch
  • Type enable
  • Type copy running-config startup-config
