Add rules to the firewall and enable it

  • sudo ufw allow 22/tcp
  • sudo ufw allow 8080/tcp
  • sudo ufw allow 8443/tcp
  • sudo ufw allow 8880/tcp
  • sudo ufw allow 8843/tcp
  • sudo ufw allow 3478/udp
  • sudo ufw show added
  • sudo ufw enable

Install NTP client

  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install ntp


Install Unifi

    sudo apt update

    sudo wget -O /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/unifi-repo.gpg https://dl.ui.com/unifi/unifi-repo.gpg

    sudo apt-get update

    sudo apt install apt-transport-https

    sudo apt-get install unifi


  • Visit https://[ip address of controller]:8443
  • To remove Unifi completely type 'sudo apt-get purge unifi'
  • To restart the Unifi service type 'sudo service unifi restart'
